Question of the Week: street food in Uptown?

Dining & Entertainment, Featured — By on January 28, 2011 10:31 pm

Are beer vendors headed for a corner near you? Probably not, but you might be able to buy a hot dog or some falafel.

Bringing street food to Uptown still has a long way to go, but we can still dream big! If mobile food vendors are indeed allowed to peddle their fare on our fair city streets, what would you like to see included in the line-up?

Good Mexican food in Uptown would be nice. Also BBQ.

  2. Cedar Phillips says:

Mexican would be my top choice, too. Followed by papusas. I bought waffles from a small stall on the street in Oslo one time; that was nice, and very memorable.

  3. Joe Janzen says:

Falafel works great as a street food, and to my knowledge there aren’t currently any Middle Eastern restaurants in the immediate Hennepin/Lake area.

  4. Justin says:

    French fries, of course.

  5. Ian says:

Joe – Falafel king is right on lyndale and lake
