Are you a member of a community garden? If not, would you like to be? Does Uptown need more community garden space? If so, where would you put it?

I would love to be part of a community garden that was within walking distance. I definitely think Uptown needs more community gardens. I see small unused areas in several parks around Uptown that could be put to better use than just grass that no one utilizes.

I looked everywhere for a garden last March, and everywhere I called, the plots were full and the waiting list was closed. The closest were in Kingfield, but I would have preferred having one in Uptown. I think it would be great, and I know residents would use the space!

Yes, we need more community gardens. Uptown has good backyard space, but much of it is shaded or paved. For renters who don’t have good space or are not allowed to garden this would be beneficial.
