Uptown Construction Update – 06/05/11

Construction continues to progress in Uptown Minneapolis.

Nothing new to report at the CB2 site, which continues to await construction after the building was demolished, the site regraded, and survey markers going up.

The MoZaic project is now forming the fourth floor after having poured the concrete for the third floor. The tunnel the runs behind the Lagoon Cinema and Bar Abilene buildings has its walls poured and will begin final excavation this week. The above view is looking from the rear of the Lagoon Cinema towards the W/NW.

The Greenleaf project continues to make good progress. The building is topped off and the final product is continuing to take shape each day. The above view is looking NE from Lyndale and 28th Street.

The Flux project is being built from west to east, with the west side continuing to grow towards its sixth floor. The view above is looking from Fremont looking NW. A very neat rendering was shown at a meeting I was at and I’m trying to get permission to share it with you.

1800 Lake is now on its fourth floor. The commercial portion of the building is just starting to take shape, which is the steel section in the foreground. This photo is looking NE from E Calhoun Parkway and Lake Street.
