What’s going on in Uptown ? Businesses are closing left and right and vacant properties are all over the place. Is uptown turning into a state of disrepair? Thoughts?
Turnover always happens. I don’t think there are that many vacant storefronts in Uptown. You can count them almost on on one hand. It’s especially hard to be a restaurant because of all of the competition and the low margins. Uptown has had a lot of new businesses open up recently and compared with a few years ago, Uptown is definitely on the up.
one of the things I would do if I was filthy rich: buy all three of these houses, move them closer together and right up against the sidewalk. Then I would develop the leftover land with a nice tall multi-use.
uh-oh, now im drooling…
Just noticed today that it was closed. I’m kind of irritated, since I bought a gift certificate on the 12th of December and wasn’t notified of the impending closure despite asking the waiter on duty if the gift certificate had an expiration date. (He said there wasn’t one.) Fortunately for me, chargebacks exist.
