Fluevog opens
Business, Featured, Hennepin-Lake — By Thatcher Imboden on November 23, 2012 2:30 pmShoemaker John Fluevog opened his Uptown Minneapolis store on November 10, 2012. The designer is known for his forward-design. According to their press release, John’s grandfather immigrated to Minnesota from Europe in 1902 and even took his wife on dates to the Uptown Theater before moving to Canada in the 1930s. And John has now opened his store at 2900 Hennepin Avenue, just feet away from where his grandparents used to go to “rekindle their romance.”
Whether true or not, John opened his 16th store and features a large supply (but not exclusive) eco-friendly shoes. His other stores are in other major US and Canadian cities.
In conjunction with their opening, Fluevog issued two exclusive shoes (one in each gender) for the Minneapolis store with only 30 made in each style. As of November 23rd, only a few remained.

The new Fluevog shoe store in Uptown Minneapolis features lots of light, open floor plan, and a clean look.

You may not realize John Fluevog is a shoe store if you weren’t familiar with the name.
