Business, Featured, Hennepin-Lake, The Wedge — By on November 25, 2012 11:10 pm

It’s late November and a lot has happened since the last update. OurUptown.com had some technical issues where thousands of spam messages caused some sort of server error, but that has all been corrected.

The Republic brings dozens of taps to Calhoun Square
In one of the more hyped business news in Uptown this year, The Republic opened its doors in the former Independent space up on the second floor of Calhoun Square. The Republic, which opened its first location at 7 Corners, is known as one of the Twin Cities’ best places to find a good beer and has a strong following from craft brew aficionados. When building out their new location, they knocked out outdoor patio that the Independent had and expanded the restaurant so that you can sit inside and overlook the Hennepin-Lake intersection. Should make for some great people watching while you kick back a Sweet Child of Vine.
