H&M brings affordable fashion to Calhoun Square
Just in time for the Holidays, Swedish chain H&M opened in Calhoun Square on Friday, December 14th. The new store has two levels, with women’s fashions taking up the entire lower level. Men’s and children’s departments are located on the upper level. The store has entrances from the inside of the mall on both levels, as well as a street-facing entrance on Hennepin Avenue (pictured). Store hours will be 10am-9pm Monday through Saturday and 12pm-6pm on Sundays.

Atmosfere now open in Calhoun Square
Locally owned fashion boutique, Atmosfere, has moved back to Calhoun Square. Their lease was up in the Rainbow Building at 1426 West Lake Street. The new location is on the 2nd floor of Calhoun Square, next to LA Fitness and across the hall from H&M. The store has moved quite a bit in its 7-year existence, beginning downtown in Gaviidae Common, moving to Calhoun Square, then the Rainbow Building, and now back to Calhoun Square. It appears the boutique has also gone back to its roots as a men’s-only store. Rumor has it that a floor/tile shop will be leasing the now-vacant space in the Rainbow Building.

Matt Brillhart

Matt Brillhart is a graduate of the Urban Studies program at the University of Minnesota. Matt grew up in Woodbury and St. Paul and now lives in the Whittier neighborhood. His hobbies include biking, snowboarding, and enjoying live music at the many great venues around town. Matt works for the City of Richfield and is looking forward to having more free time after a few too many years spent in school.
