Preliminary concepts developed by the MPRB project team and public input were released, showing a variety of ideas to improve the north side of Lake Calhoun and the south side of Lake of the Isles. They range from land bridges to board walks to a new channel and more.

Soil erosion as the result of cow paths on the north side of Lake Calhoun has created a safety, water quality, and attractiveness concern. Year in and year out, nothing seems to be done to mitigate or prevent these problems. What can be done?
The uptown Association installed over 25 new bike racks in July throughout the Uptown area. The Uptown Association stated in its August newsletter that it wanted to make it easier for customers to get to businesses, to reduce parking congestion, and support the bike culture that has made Minneapolis the #1 bike city in the country.
