Charging for apartment parking
With some new apartment buildings charging for off-street parking, apparently some neighbors are upset as cars spill to the streets instead. Some questions are being asked about this, whether this will translate into policy change has yet to be seen.
Potential Trader Joe’s wine shop boxed out? Update
Trader Joe’s representatives presented revised plans for its proposed store at 27th and Lyndale, but a new liquor store proposal across the street may threaten the project’s viability.

A new proposal emerges for the southeast corner of 27th and Lyndale for a relocated Flanders Cycle and a new 11,000 square foot retail building potentially housing a liquor store, restaurant, and butcher shop/deli.
New plans for 2900 Lyndale
Greco Development, developer of Blue and Flux, has new plans for the site it owns at 2900 Lyndale Avenue. The site is now L-shaped and includes the parking lot behind the VFW. The plan calls for 176 apartments, 9,000 square feet of commercial space, and parking for the VFW and the building.
Trader Joe’s on Lyndale: Suburban Box in City?

Rebuilding Walker Library – update

Apartments proposed for Bennett Site East
A 223-unit apartment building is proposed on the north side of the Midtown Greenway between Dupont Avenue and Colfax Avenue in Uptown Minneapolis.
US Bank to renovate Mpls Floral
The Hennepin Avenue Branch of US Bank will move a block north to the former Minneapolis Floral building. US Bank will renovate the existing main Art Deco building and tear down the greenhouse to create a parking lot. The bank will add jobs, services, and hope to restore many older features of the building.
